Funny stuff

Lately while we are out for a stroll, Finn catches Maisie is in sightline and smiles. Well today Maisie barked back at a terrier who was protecting his house from the upstairs window, Maisie did a little protective bark/dance on their lawn and Finn started cracking up. Full on giggling, like he heard his first joke. I loved it. Here is also a picture of Finn getting a hug from his affectionate friend Jackie.
Finn has also discovered his feet, and that hands can pinch and pull things; namely hair and skin. He also likes to roll over on his jungle mat/ babygym, but he always seems to do it when Mama's not looking. A man of mystery.

4 month checkup

And all is well, weighing in at 17lbs and measuring 26.5 inches tall, which puts him in the 80's for both height and weight percentile. Which is just fine. Today he has been crying all morning and early afternoon, mama couldn't figure out why, he seemed happiest while in the car, doing errands, and then around three I thought he would never stop and I didn't know what to do, and then promptly he fell asleep on my shoulder and has been asleep for 2 and a half hours. Maybe the nice rainstorm knocked him out. Who knows!?

Finn & Maisie

When Maisie thinks no one is looking, she sneaks in a good old sniff of her baby brother, making sure all is right and well.
Today I got a good series of shots of the two of them together; Finn is much more intrigued by Maisie than vice versa.
Theres also a picture of Finn slumbering in his friend Jackie's beach tent, except we were at the Milton pool. (We did go to the beach on Sunday though; Roger dipped Finn's toes in the freezing Atlantic waters until mama reminded him that his son is half Bahamian and likes his ocean water at 70 degrees plus.)

Milestones

Finn weighs nearly 16 pounds and is 4 months old already. We went to visit daddy at work in the studio yesterday, Finn LOVES looking at lights and he was in heaven there...not to mention all the friendly faces who said hi to him.
He has been teething for awhile but now he can reach for things to chew on, and yesterday while I was tickling his belly on the changing table, he let out a first real laugh/giggle, not just a one syllable breathy HAA, but a real chuckle.
